1. Burj Khalifa
The tallest building in the world at 828 meters (or 2692 feet) tall. It was designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture and its construction was completed in 2010. Its shape is similar to a traditional dhow boat. The top of the tower features a gold-colored sphere surrounded by a glass cylinder that contains a viewing deck where visitors get amazing views of the surrounding area.
2. Dubai Mall
Dubai’s largest shopping mall, located in Dubailand, offers over 1,200 shops, restaurants, food courts and entertainment facilities. The mall’s gross leasable area is around 643,000 square metres, making it the second largest mall in the world behind South China Mall in Guangzhou.
3. Jumeirah Beach Park
Jumeirah Beach Park is a beautiful park in Dubai featuring golden sandy beaches and turquoise blue water. A popular place for tourists and locals alike, especially during the summer months. Visitors can enjoy beach volleyball, swimming, surfing, fishing, picnicking, and even scuba diving. On warm days, visitors can sit back and relax on the beach while watching the sunset.
4. Sheikh Zayed Road
Sheikh Zayed Road is the major commercial district of Dubai, named after the late ruler of Abu Dhabi, UAE, Sheik Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan who developed the city. It is full of skyscrapers and places to eat. There are many high class malls, designer clothing stores, fashion boutiques, jewelry shops and famous brand name supermarkets.
5. Palm Islands
Palm Islands are manmade islands in Dubai Marina, United Arab Emirates, situated along Dubai Creek. Offering a resort island atmosphere, guests can choose from a variety of activities including golfing, diving, fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, sailing, cycling, running and walking.
6. Wild Wadi Waterway
Wild Wadi Waterway is a canal system in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The wadis were carved out of the rocky mountains near Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve and then paved over to create a green link between Dubai Creek and the Persian Gulf.
7. Dubai Museum
The museum holds collections relating to history, archaeology, anthropology, fine arts, decorative arts, design, costumes, textiles, weapons, tools, maps, stamps, coins, photographs, and newspapers, among others.
