I was watching a TED video the other day, and it talked about how a human using the world’s best artificially intelligent chess champion computer program created by IBM could not defeat an opponent who was the same program when the human was working with it and entering the queries, looking to dig deeper in the number of levels of various moves in the game as it was being played.
1. Artificial intelligence (AI)
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science that focuses on building systems that simulate human thinking and learning. AI is often described as “thinking machines” because they can perform tasks that require intelligent decision-making. There are many different types of artificial intelligence, including machine learning, natural language processing, expert systems, and neural networks.
2. Machine Learning
Machine learning is a subset of artificial intelligence where computers learn without being explicitly programmed. In machine learning, algorithms analyze data and make predictions based on patterns they find within the data. These predictions are then used to inform future decisions. Machine learning is commonly used in speech recognition, image classification, spam filtering, and self-driving cars.
3. Deep Learning
Deep learning is a type of machine learning that involves using artificial neural networks. Neural networks are computational models inspired by how neurons work together in our brains. Deep learning uses many layers of artificial neurons to achieve its results. Deep learning is used in computer vision, audio analysis, and translation services.
4. Humanoid Robots
Humanoids are robots designed to look and act like humans. They are autonomous robots that have the ability to move around their environment and interact with people. Humanoids are used in manufacturing, military applications, and entertainment.
5. Autonomous Vehicles
Autonomous vehicles are self-driving cars. They use sensors to detect objects around them and navigate roads safely. Autonomous vehicles are becoming increasingly popular due to their safety features.
6. Augmented Reality
Augmented reality is technology that overlays digital information over real world images. AR is commonly used in video games, movies, and social media platforms.
7. Virtual Reality
Virtual reality is a simulation created using virtual worlds. VR headsets allow users to immerse themselves in these simulations. VR is commonly used in gaming, education, and healthcare.
