Miso Soup


  • 4 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons miso paste
  • 1 block of tofu, cubed
  • 1-2 green onions, sliced
  • 1-2 sheets of nori seaweed, torn into small pieces
  • Optional: sliced mushrooms, spinach, or other vegetables of your choice


  1. In a medium pot, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Lower the heat and add the tofu, green onions, nori seaweed, and any additional vegetables you like.
  3. Simmer for a few minutes until the vegetables are cooked.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the miso paste with a small amount of hot water to make a smooth paste.
  5. Add the miso paste to the pot and stir gently to combine.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Serve hot.

Note: Do not boil the miso paste as it will kill the beneficial bacteria and enzymes.
