Toxins are eliminated from the body when water is consumed on an empty stomach, according to medical professionals. When there is nothing in your stomach, drinking water helps the body do its job better. According to the doctors at Arizona’s Pinnacle Care Internal Medicine, “by drinking water immediately after waking up, your body is releasing toxins, which starts movement in your bowels.” Additionally, the water makes your colon clean, allowing it to naturally absorb nutrients more quickly.
The liver cleans the system by changing the chemical nature of many toxins, and the kidneys filter them out of the blood through urine. The body has its own processes for flushing out toxins. Some toxins are easy to get rid of, but others need more help. The liver and kidneys are better able to help dilute toxins in the bloodstream when water is present, making it easier to get rid of waste from the body.

In a similar vein, a study that was conducted in 2019 on male college students in Cangzhou, China, found that when the participants were dehydrated, they performed worse on cognitive tests and had more mood disturbances.
